New for 2024 - let us sell your unwanted wedding dress!
Every few months we will select three or four ex-sample or new dresses from customers to accompany our current collection. We are seeing a big demand of people looking to sell unwanted wedding dresses due to a change in circumstances and we wanted to do what we can to help. So let us sell your dress for you! We will showcase your gown in our beautiful store and do all the work, administration and marketing for you, while taking a small commission for the sale.

*Please note that we are only able to accept new or ex-sample dresses which are unaltered and in immaculate condition. We are unable to take pre-loved or altered dresses.*

How does selling my dress work?
If Ruby Frances agree to sell a gown on your behalf we will showcase your dress in our bridal shop for 12 months, as well as featuring your dress on our social media platforms and marketing material.
Do you charge a fee for this?
We charge a £30 non refundable up front fee to cover the cost of administration and marketing over the duration of the 12 months.
What commission rate will you take?
If your dress sells we will take 40% commission, leaving you with the remaining 60%.
How does pricing work?
We will pre agree a sale price before your dress is added to the shop floor. Most dresses in our shop are priced at around half their RRP so we use this as a starting point when pricing products in store.
How will my percentage be paid?
We promise to pay the total amount by bank transfer, within five working days of the sale.
What if my dress does not sell?
Unfortunately if your dress does not sell we are unable to refund the £30 administration fee. However if your dress has proved to be popular with our customers, we are able to discuss extending the amount of time we stock this gown for.
What if my dress is pre-loved, altered or not designer?
Unfortunately as we specialise in designer ex-sample gowns, we are unable to consider your dress if it does not meet this criteria.
What if my dress is not in immaculate condition?
Unfortunately we are only able to accept dresses in an immaculate condition. However we would be more than happy to assist you with finding a dry cleaners and/or seamstress, and reconsider again once any cleaning or repair work has been completed.
